End Grain Faux Wood Wall Panel

Questions

End Grain Wood Wall Panels offer the gorgeous texture and natural coloring of real wood in a modern, cost-effective solution. Molded in high-density polyurethane from real planks, the panels replicate the rugged charm of real distressed wood down to the smallest detail.

Both homeowners undertaking a remodel and professionals building a new home will find the panels incredibly easy to handle and install. Weighing a fraction of real wood and constructed with interlocking ends, even novice DIYers will find the installation to be simple and seamless.

The panels are available in neutral yet eye-catching color choices with a fire rated Polyurethane option. The design possibilities are endless as they can be installed indoors or out – in a kitchen, dining room, bedroom, outdoor living space and more.

The panel’s polyurethane material is also made last. Its closed cell structure resists damaging factors including moisture, extreme temperature and feeding insects. Unlike real wood, there’s also very little maintenance, no annual scraping and painting required.

I was interested in using this to cover the cinderblock foundation of my house & also to put at the bottom of the columns on my front porch.
My questions are how well does this hold up outdoors & also how well does it hold up if using at the foundation of a home & a person would be using a weed eater to cut grass next to house? Would we need to build flower beds or something to keep weeds away from the panels?
Could the panels be cut down & cut in a miter to apply around columns? See more »

These panels are interior/exterior and will do well outdoors. The wear and tear of weedwhacker is not ideal so we recommend a landscape border like you mention. Panels are easy to cut with a wood saw. Here is a link to our panel installation videos and instructions which should help clarify the installation process. https://www.barrondesigns.com/project...
