These cedar beams are painstakingly crafted to create the highly distressed look of reclaimed wood, embodying the rich hewn elements in their texture. Their heavily hand-hewn texture and natural coloring will add a rustic, captivating look to your exterior and interior décor.
The beams’ wood undergoes a proprietary wood treatment process that results in a gorgeous, weathered color and makes it less prone to cracking, warping, checking, and twisting. Unlike real reclaimed wood, with authentic hewn elements, these beams won’t have any insects hiding inside.
We also offer greater consistency in size and length with these beams. This is beneficial when covering structural elements, as the measurement of the beams will stay the same from
Available in 8 beautiful colors, Heavy Hand Hewn beams are lightweight and very easy to install. You’ll love the way the hewn elements in these beams enhance your designs indoors and out.

I was so excited to receive our "hand hewn" mantel to replace the heavy honey oak 90's Era mantel that was above our fireplace. We have been updating one room at a time and had already had the mantel down for months so I could paint the red brick white. It came package and protected nicely. I am not sure what the faux material is, but as we have a jutting of brick that required us to cut away a portion of the beam on the bottom so it would sit right on top, we attempted to be as careful as possible and put painters tape on it to make our marks and cuts. There is not a protective coating on the "wood" and coloring of the beam came off with the painters tape. It also comes off with the slightest bump or touch. I realize mantels aren't touched much, but when they are, you won't be able to avoid damaging the coloring on this creation. Overall, though, I really like the look of our end result.
Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you had this issue with the paint on the mantel. We will reach out to you separately regarding this issue. We appreciate your business!
