These 'rocks' are intended to be used with our grouted filler panel. If you go on the filler panel page here: https://www.barrondesigns.com/river-r... there is a link beside the quantity for the calculator. 1 Rock set is what you need for each panel. Good luck with your project.
Yes you can order a sample. In fact, we recommend that all of our customers orders samples prior to their purchase. Samples can be ordered on our website here https://www.barrondesigns.com/river-r... Samples will be rebated up to the cost of five from your large purchase.
We do not recommend using our products in a shower application due to the harsh cleaners and abrasives needed to keep a bathroom clean. If you plan to use them elsewhere in a bathroom - great - there should not be an obvious repeat but we recommend laying the panels out before starting installation to be sure.
The River Rock panels have a small lip on the top edge that is meant to fit behind the panel being installed on top of it. The individual rock sets are meant to be glued onto the Grouted Filler Panels that coordinate with the River Rock Panels.
The rocks are produced as a set so unfortunately specific shapes cannot be ordered.

We recommend securing them with construction adhesive such as Loctite PL 3X
There will be some difference in the appearance. Please understand the grouted filler panel and the rock sets are only meant to be used in small areas if you have odd measurements where full size panels cannot be utilized.
