Our caulking is perfect for sealing the edges of our Faux Panels for a seamless look. All our caulking is UV Resistant, seals permanently, has very high elasticity and made for interior or exterior use. We recommend ordering 1 tube per 4 panels. The caulk color is meant to compliment our panels and is not a perfect color match.

The mortar match flexible mortar repair and protection with a grit finish provided with the faux beam is not the correct type caulk to be used filling in the countersink holes. This caulk is very difficult to work with. A non-grit caulk maybe a better option. Also consideration should be given to provided prefinished plugs that can be inserted into the countersink holes. We choose not to fill the countersink holes with caulk, but rather found a close match paint and colered the exposed area . Also recommend using a dark head screw similar to drywall screws.

Over the course of us supplying this product and having tested many methods (since most customers do prefer to fill in the holes), we have found that this caulk is the most viable in regards to long term stability and is easily matched to the product with the Touch Up Paints we supply.
Pre-finished plugs are unfortunately not a good option since not everyone countersinks to the same depth (causing variation in the actual hole size) and when there is slight expansion and contraction due to ambient temperature and humidity changes, plugs could easily fail.
We have painstakingly tried and tested many methods over the years, and the “caulk and touch up” is the easiest and most viable for long term success, and over our many years of selling our products, this is in fact the first time we have ever received a complaint regarding this method.
